I'm excited to get my container garden started too!
What are you planting? A few days ago I put some assorted salads in a large window box container, then it disappeared. I commented to my hubby about how my planter mysteriously vanished...he had thought it was just some dirt and stuck it in the back of the garage!
Thanks for the information. I live in the city and don't have a lot of space to grow a traditional garden. The container herb garden will give me a chance to use my green thumb again. I enjoy growing basil to make fresh pesto and I do preserve some.
Hi Stephanie...I have had wonderful success growing basil through the years, it is one of my favorite herbs...esp as you say, to make pesto.
I have also learned that if you add just a little olive oil to basil and freeze it when it is fresh, it stays green when you take it from the freezer, if you like to see the deep green in the dead of the winter.
